Smartsys SRL e il Comune di Montenerodomopresentano un viaggio multimediale nell’antica città di Iuvanum,inprovincia di Chieti. Un progetto di ricostruzione virtualedell’area archeologica abitata dai Carricini, gruppo etnicosannitico che occupava il territorio tra la Maiella e il Sangro dalIV al I secolo avanti Cristo. Il lavoro è finanziato con fondi CIPEsu iniziativa del Comune di Montenerodomo e rappresenta la primaapplicazione del genere su un sito archeologico dell’Abruzzo.Il prodotto finale è un modello virtuale in 3D degli edifici piùrappresentativi e studiati dell’antica Iuvanum, che ricostruisce inmodo circostanziato le caratteristiche compositive originarie: ilforo, la basilica, la taberna e il complesso templare perpermettere di rivivere, in modo suggestivo, l’atmosfera che deveaver animato questi luoghi migliaia di anni fa. In sostanza ildispositivo assume il ruolo di una vera e propria guida turistica.Il visitatore può utilizzare palmari,cellulari e personal computerportatili.La sua posizione all’interno del sito archeologico è rilevatatramite antenna GPS e, in base all’orientamento della visuale,quando il visitatore si troverà nei pressi di un reperto, vedràapparire sul display il modello 3D della ricostruzione, navigandoall’interno dell’oggetto come se fosse un videogioco, e potràscegliere di ascoltarne la storia e le tecniche costruttive,leggere informazioni testuali e visualizzare altri contenutimultimediali.Il tutto nel palmo della propria mano e senza dover compiereoperazioni complesse.SmartSys SRL and the Cityof Montenerodomo present a multimedia journey in the ancient cityof Iuvanum, in the province of Chieti.
